Take Action To Oppose SB1
After waiting 50 years for a reversal of Roe vs. Wade, a weak and troubling bill introduced in the Indiana Senate falls far short of ending abortion in Indiana.

SB1 contains many troubling issues, including:

  • SB1 allows late term abortions to continue in Indiana, including partial-birth abortions which are never needed to save the life of the mother.

  • SB1's limited criminal penalties will not be enforced by local prosecutors, such as the one in Marion County, who is on record stating he will not enforce a new law.  Indiana Right to Life's call to give the attorney general the power to prosecute in such cases has been ignored.

  • SB1 requires the ISDH to create new rules for current and future abortion clinics, making it clear the intent is not to end abortions in Indiana.

  • SB1 has numerous instances of vague language that will create loopholes abortion providers will use to continue doing abortions.

Take action now to let your state senator know you oppose SB1.

Join in praying daily for our legislators and our state  as we enter into the special session to vote for pro-life laws.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit for Our Indiana State Legislators
Jesus said, “I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, to be with you forever…”    We praise You, Jesus, for sending us the Holy Spirit, our Advocate, to be our help and our strength.
O Holy Spirit, make us more aware of those who need us as advocates.
Grant that we may hear the cries of those in need; the marginalized, the poor, the forgotten, and especially those who are most vulnerable, our unborn brothers and sisters in the womb. Assist us in upholding the dignity and worth of every human life. Inspire us to give of ourselves to help parents and children in need, spending ourselves out of love for You. Help us to offer consolation to those who experience pain and hurt from the harms of abortion. Holy Spirit, as You are the Advocate, so make us advocates. As You hear our cries for mercy, so let us hear the cries of others for mercy. Save us from the misfortune of seeking mercy only for ourselves, while being deaf to others.
Guide our public officials to defend each and every human life. Fill them with your heavenly wisdom, and grant them fortitude to enact just laws. Inspire us all to bring our faith into public life, to speak for those who have no voice. Heal our divided country and bless our societal discourse with compassion, patience and peace. We ask all of this through Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to whom with the Father and Holy Spirit be honor and glory forever. Amen.

Fasting is a powerful way to unite ourselves with the will of Our Lord.  Consider giving up coffee, electronics, sweets, social media, speaking negatively, unnecessary shopping, etc. as a way to implore God to bless our legislators and our state.“

"Yet even now,” says the Lord,  “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; and rend your hearts and not your garments."
